The NCI-H292 cell line was established from the lymph node metastasis lung tissue of a 32-year-old female patient with mucoepidermoid pulmonary carcinoma. NCI-H292 cells are tumorigenic cells that display an epithelial morphology and adherent cultural properties, able to retain their mucoepidermoid characteristics. NCI-H292 produces keratin and vimentin, and is also susceptible to Hepatitis B virus. NCI-H292 cells are suitable transfection hosts to study lung cancer and Altogen Biosystems offers an optimized NCI-H292 reagent to transfect NCI-H292 cells.
